The Eagles have been my all time favorite band and their hit single Hotel California has been my number one favorite song.
The Eagles were unquestionably the biggest mainstream American rock band to emerge in the 1970s. Not only did they sell more records and concert tickets than their peers, Hotel California is one of the biggest-selling albums of all time.
The song Hotel California was released in December 1976, the record was certified platinum in one week, a number one hit in January 1977, and eventually sold over 10,000,000 copies. This song also won the 1977 Grammy for Record of the Year and was nominated for Song of the Year. The album itself was nominated for Album of the Year and for Best Pop Vocal Performance. Still to this day, these Rock & Roll Hall of Farmers, perform and play their greatest songs which are loved throughout the world.
